Giles, an A-list agent for the Arts Ministry of Her Majesty's Government, gloomily prepares for his last assignment; to 'retrieve' an antiquity coveted by a volatile splinter group intent on political blackmail and worldly destruction.

Crossing the landscapes of London, war-torn Eastern Europe, Spain, Italy and Egypt, Giles and Georges finally meet their destinies with a battle upon the face of the monumental statue of King Ramukan II on the banks of the Nile.

An adventure filled with unforgettable characters; the beautiful, tough negotiator Thursday, Ronnie, a good-hearted American musician shaped like an Elephant Seal and Grace, the drink-ruined mother. We also meet an immortal Master Fly intent on world domination and forger and garotte expert, Perry (fellow member with the Giles of the Soho club, Mellstocks).
